Job Description :

The primary responsibility of the Dental Front Office Coordinator is to manage and control the front desk area by welcoming patients, coordinating directly with the back office, as well as assisting patients with the processing of dental insurance claims and management of relationships with insurance carriers. The F/O Coordinator interacts with the patient and ensures that check-in and check-out is carried out accurately, friendly, and efficiently. Answers general questions about policies, procedures, and services. This is the first point of contact for our patients and top customer service skills should be employed to ensure that the patient experience is positive. We are therefore, looking for a competent dental front office coordinator who will make the dentist’s office more efficient and pleasant for patients. You’ll ensure excellent customer service and be able to coordinate the functions of the Front Desk at growing dental office in Dalton, GA. We are a busy, growing, fast-paced general cosmetic, implant, and orthodontic dentistry office. You will need to be able to work under pressure.

Bilingual preferred but not required. Compensation is based on experience but is very competitive and a bonus system depending on collection rate/amount is also available.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Welcomes, orients, and greets patients in an enthusiastic manner.
  • Assist patients in filling out or updating paperwork, reviews information for thoroughness and obtains copies of photo ID & insurance cards.
  • Scans patients’ paperwork, IDs, and insurance cards and saves the documents in the patients’ charts.
  • Schedules appointments with necessary information and updates Dentrix system accordingly.
  • Calls and confirms patients of appointments and keeps an accurate response log.
  • Follows up with no-show patients and makes proper documentation.
  • Maintains a full daily appointment schedule
  • Collects co-pays and deductibles upon patient arrival.
  • Prepares daily log and daily deposit sheets and makes sure billing charges and collections match deposit slips.
  • Contacts insurance companies and patients regarding coverage determinations and outstanding balances.
  • Researches and resolves insurance billing issues.
  • Sets up any financial arrangements and collects payments from patients and insurance companies.
  • Manages outstanding insurance claims
  • Obtains and records insurance information on all patients in the system.
  • Entrusted with handling confidential company material and is fully aware of HIPAA and its practices.
  • Performs administrative duties; answering phones, cleaning workspace, and assisting with other tasks as needed to ensure a smooth office environment.

Qualifications

  • Other Training, Skills, Certifications, & Key Competencies
  • High School graduate and formal training from a vocational school or equivalent
  • Proven experience in a similar dental setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
