As a trusted advisor for Matrix Global Services, you will provide essential post EMR Provider training and support to the hospital Physicians on the Epic EMR system within a hospital system in north east Massachusetts. This is an On-Site position only. Travel expenses are provided if needed.
Specific skills include, but are not limited to, the ability to:
· Provide post Epic training EMR optimization for Physicians.
· May assist in the development of curricula for physician training for optimization and reference materials as needed.
· Offer updates and refresher at-the-elbow support and optimization sessions as needed.
· Understanding and interpreting clinical and non-clinical workflows, processes, and terminology in order to translate information into educationally sound training content.
· Ability to customize user level Smart Tools for Providers
· Maintaining policy and procedure documentation related to training.
· Function as a liaison for physicians and their office staff on concerns related to Epic and related systems.
· Translate Physicians’ high level requirements into functional specifications for the IT department.
· Works collaboratively with clinical and technical groups to identify deficits and needs for improvement.
· Provides updates/communications on relevant changes and/or upgrades to the system.
· Identify, track, and follow through on issues and questions related to the clinical information system.
· Performs rounds on units/departments on a regular basis to provide support and instruction to the Physicians on the effective use of Epic.
· Participate in organizational meetings as requested.
· Able to provide or facilitate Dragon training and optimization.
· Available 24/7 to respond to emergency situations.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Education):
· Epic Certification required (Not Credentialed)
· MD,RN, CNA or other clinical background strongly preferred
· Experience supporting Epic in a hospital or other clinical setting.
· Strong desktop tool usage including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
· Effective presentation and classroom management skills.
· Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
· Effective oral, written communication and follow-up skills.
· Implementation and/or support experience desired.
· Self-motivated, detail-oriented, problem solver.
Must be fully vaccinated
