Who You Are

We’re looking for a talented Operations Coordinator to assist the Chief Operations Officer with his role. You will be responsible for assisting with the land acquisition process, searching circuit court records pertaining to titles and deeds, organizing data and compiling excel spreadsheets, as well as many other administrative duties. Ideally, you will enjoy having variety in your day, be open to learning new systems and processes, and feel a great sense of accomplishment when completing challenging tasks. The ideal person will also have a good understanding of how land acquisition works and will be familiar with navigating county websites as well as software systems such as GIS, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat. You will need an advanced level of mastery with Excel and Microsoft Word. You will work closely with the Chief Operations Officer to identify and address homebuilding issues as they occur, and strategically offer solutions.

This role will work from 7:30AM – 4:30PM EST in our Jetersville, VA office.

What You Will Work On

• Assist with the development of subdivisions, including road development and coordinating with VDOT
• Gather and communicate data to the Chief Operations Officer in a clear and concise manner
• Administrative tasks such as data compilation and appointment confirmations
• Run occasional errands to permitting offices, home sites, and county buildings

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
• Experience with GIS is a plus
• A minimum of 3-4 years in administrative roles
• High level of writing and editing skills to include exceptionally accurate spelling and grammar
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Capable of managing multiple, simultaneous projects
• Experience presenting reports, forecasts, trends, and recommendations in a clear, concise, and actionable manner
• Adaptability and technical acumen to learn a variety of software programs
• A high level of accuracy when working with data entry and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt to working in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to multitask and self-manage your workday
• The ability to pass a drug screening

The salary range for this position is $40,000-$50,000. Actual compensation will be based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set and level of relevant experience.
