Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA - Industrial Prevention Specialist

Job Summary: Unify Health Services is a women-owned small business with ambitious and passionate healthcare professionals who strive to change the industry with cutting edge programs. We are seeking to hire a full time Physical Therapist Assistant to provide onsite preventative services to the industrial athletic population. This is a part-time position.

The Clinician is responsible for conducting and maintaining Pre and Post Injury Programs. Programs include but are not limited to Prevention Solutions such as Post Offer Employment Testing (POET)/Physical Abilities Testing (PAT), Fit for Duty, Wellness, Fitness, Job Coaching, Ergonomic Assessments, Work Conditioning, and Industrial Intervention.

Environment: On-site industrial setting utilizing a preventative and educational approach to achieving Occupational Health and Wellness to an employee population and their identified contractors. Industrial settings may include distribution, logistics, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, or other industries. Steel toed safety shoes, hard hats, eye and ear protection may be required depending upon site.

Qualifications:

• Associates in Science, Active Licensure in State of Employment PTA
• BLS certification, CPR certification
• Demonstrated experience in outpatient clinical skills, first responder skills, and musculoskeletal education

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years’ experience preferred, with one-year work comp and or industrial healthcare experience
• Knowledgeable of workplace safety and health and OSHA regulations a plus
• Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Biomechanics, or Exercise Physiology.

Physical Demands:

• Frequent: walking, sitting, repetitive arm and leg movement, stooping and forward bending, handling, keyboard/computer work
• Occasional: pinching, sitting, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs
• Ability to perform brisk Walking in field/location to manage emergency or observe work tasks and perform job coaching

Other Duties:

• Shifts may include early morning, day shifts, night shifts (am/pm combined shifts) or weekends. Shifts are based on customer needs and program needs per location per shift.
• Multi-location work and out of state travel on occasion
• Duties and Responsibilities may change dependent on business needs
