Central Iowa Power Cooperative (CIPCO) is currently seeking a Power Engineering Intern for summer 2023 to assist the engineering team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This internship will provide the student with valuable exposure to the utility industry, particularly regarding transmission substations or transmission planning.

The Power Engineering Intern s duties may include:

Collecting and organizing protection system data
Organizing and assisting with design projects
Identifying and compiling ratings information
Assisting with substation records management
Assisting with performing power flow studies
Assist with ensuring accurate data is represented in transmission models

Candidates may be a Sophomore through Senior student working toward a Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering and have proficiency in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office software. Must have excellent written, verbal, communication and organizational skills.
