DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developing compliance organizational strategies by contributing information, analysis, and recommendations and establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.
• Managing risk by understanding current and proposed legislation, recommending new procedures, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
• Leading the design, preparation, coordination and ongoing review of policies, procedures, training materials and other communication tools to ensure departments meet compliance requirements.
• Establishing compliance standards, anticipating emerging compliance trends, designing improvements to internal structure.
• Oversees International Logistics Compliance.
• Creating and reviewing regulatory compliance documentation.
• Oversee International CSA score management.
• Filing regulatory reports and other documentation, including applying for and managing renewals of required licensing.
• Coordinating rollout and training of new or updated policies and directives when required.
• Designing and coordinating regulatory exams and internal business unit audits.
• Establishing, overseeing self-audit, and compliance monitoring programs.
• Working closely with department leaders and other senior directives as needed.
• Timely and accurately completes regulatory reporting or obtains required certifications and related compliance documents.
• Responds to and is responsible for the resolution of external agency requests for information, investigations, or audits.

Working with business partners on the purchase, storage and handling of products.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Working knowledge of compliance, reporting, audits & investigations with EPA Manufacturing and International Maritime and Dangerous Goods including Transportation,
• Understanding of International Logistics compliance.
• Working knowledge of product labeling.
• Ability to develop working relationship with all levels of employees.
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal and multiple state laws, rules and regulations and best practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Skill in evaluating and analyzing numerical, statistical and financial data.
• Ability to deal with the complexity of compliance by having strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of record retention regulations as well as successful documentation retention strategies.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive reports, correspondence and presentations.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with essential job functions.
• Knowledge of Vehicle insurance principles, particularly pricing and funding in regards to a self-funded program.
• Knowledge of no-fault laws and regulations and the interplay of commercial and self-funded programs in their regard.
• Ability to travel 25-30% of the time.
• Skill in intermediate MS office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:Work is performed in a company office building. Lifting of up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis may be required. Wrist and finger manipulation due to computer work, calculating, compiling and filing. Equipment used may include but is not limited to computer, typewriter, calculator, telephone, copy and fax machines. This job will require travel sometimes on short notice.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
