Job Description
The Lead Software Development Engineer in Test is responsible for creating an end-to-end test plan; executing the plan and managing all activities and participants in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met and that the solution works as expected. The solution should be tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability, and compatibility with other legacy- and / or external systems. The Lead SDET will use a variety testing approaches and techniques, including SQL backend testing, functional Testing, and automated testing. The Lead SDET will engage and supervise other members of the organization in these testing activities as appropriate to the circumstances. The Lead SDET will also review all releases for information security compliance and approve release checklists and Change Control Log entries before any software release to a production environment. Must be familiar with .NET, C#, SQL, Nodejs & Angular. Ideal SDET will have a development background.

Responsibilities: • Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables. • Backend database testing in Microsoft SQL environment including validating stored procedures, jobs and triggers. • Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements, and design test coverage plan. • Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts, and automated scripts. • Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results. • Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members. • Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management. • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements. • Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes. • Review code of information security implications. • Research information security issues for the development team. • Review release checklists and manage change control log entries.

Soft Skills • Clear communicator (written and verbal) – to ensure ability to write test plans and test cases. To communicate bugs to developers and other stakeholders • Creative solving of technical problems – to ensure the ability translate technical requirements test plans • Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables – ensures the ability to find the bad defects and bugs quickly • Ability to think abstract – to ensure ability to not conform to the norm. Norms do not find bugs quickly. Functional/Technical Skills • Experiences in Quality Management Software and Processes • Knowledge and experience in technical aspects of software solution being tested • Business process understanding
Experience & Knowledge

• BS or BA degree preferred. • 5+ years of relevant Test/QA technical experience. • 5+ years of large enterprise or e-business systems experience. • Expertise in database testing in Microsoft SQL Server environments including designing and manipulating test data, validating stored procedures, jobs, triggers and replication. • Create clear, concise detail oriented test plans/cases. • Ability to understand and create test plans from specifications or verbal communications. • Liaison with development, project management, and customer support • Ability to work with and supervise staff

BS preferred but not required

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
